I really don't understand this. You play this game and spend time because you like it and are enjoy of the grow of your character or not? why would you like to start with a 20M skillpoint character? where is the pleasure after? only to be able to flight and use everything? well go back to doom or counter strike so. Even in RL you must learn during a certain amount of time to understand and be able to apply it. Anyway if CCP give to someone 10M at started gift, I would like from CCP my money back for the time I spend to have these 10M, or want from CCP a 10M boost of my skillpoint. And after there will be no effect, the difference between young and old players will rest. No really, this false idea of not waiting the needed time to have skillpoints in insane. It is the same like if in sport, because you are a bad sportmen, you want a extra boost of dope, but only for you. Examples are many, and it is the same in EVE or in RL: we don't like cheaters, fiddlers and so on. To everybody who don't want to take the time to play this game honnestly I say: GO AWAY, THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU!
And do definitly answer to your post, you don't need 20M skillpoint to exist. If you don't exist in EVE even with 2M skillpoint, it is only because you are not able to create an existence, that's all. We, who play with others, don't take in first consideration how many skillpoint you have, but who you are you! If we take pleasure to play with you, if you can be trusted, if you take pleasure to be with us. EVE is a game where peoples meets others peoples. A good corp/alliance will help you when you are young. Will give you ships, skills, time to train you to PVP, to 0.0 mining, and all others stuff what this game offer. Start by creating your own existence in the game, and not only look how many skillpoints you have.
And you will never walk alone!
Yes, CCP is improving game for old players, but where is the probl? If they don't do that, what pleasure will have the old ones? Why they should continue to play? The young have all the univers in front of them! It is not a game made for new players who will rest new players. It is a game made for new players who will be after time old and experienced players. It's life.
